Another Day in Paradise

Paradise......maybe. I guess it is all based on perception! I feel so blessed to have an amazing husband and an incredible baby boy who makes my life complete. We live a simple yet cherished life and enjoy spending time together as a family. As long as we are all together it really is.......just another day in paradise.

Is this for real?!?!?!?!?

Okay, so this is crazy! Just this past weekend we got dumped on with snow! Not just a few inches, but 30 inches of undrifted snow fell on us. I have never seen anything like this before and to top it off we are predicted to get another 10-12 inches tomorrow night into Wednesday morning. We were still shoveling somewhat today and we will be looking at white stuff all around us for a VERY long time. Unbelievable! Here are some pictures of us BEFORE I put our camera in the dryer :( I had the camera in my jacket pocket while we were outside and we came in and I tossed everything in the dryer to dry out before our next round of shoveling.......and the our digital camera was my pocket and the dryer as you can imagine TOTALLY fried it. So this might be our last post with pictures for awhile until we get a new one! Haha!

This was the morning that we woke up to and it continued after that and by the time it was done we couldn't see the snowman in the background anymore!
Back deck and our covered deck furniture!

Mid-day and still going!

Finally, it stopped! Look at the huge pile in the middle, our house is barely visible in the background behind the pile!

At the end of the street when we went on a walk.

Not sure where he was going, but he was walking down the middle of the main street into our neighborhood.

One of our neighbors adding to the pile, still digging out!

Jon hard at work on round 3 of shoveling.

Our backyard fence.......we won't be going back there for awhile!

Jon and I decided to venture to the backyard to try and clear off a path off the deck and a little piece of the yard for our little pooch Allie. We had to climb the fence obviously because the gate couldn't open and the sliding glass door was drifted shut with snow......so Jon helped me over the fence and this is where I landed.....in this much UNDRIFTED snow! Can you believe it? It took us forever to walk to the deck and it was exhausting!

Pretty pines in the backyard. So much fun to have all of this snow but we are really ready for it to stop and we certainly don't want another foot tomorrow! Wish us luck!
