Another Day in Paradise

Paradise......maybe. I guess it is all based on perception! I feel so blessed to have an amazing husband and an incredible baby boy who makes my life complete. We live a simple yet cherished life and enjoy spending time together as a family. As long as we are all together it really is.......just another day in paradise.

Imagination Movers Concert

We were able to take Camden to see the Imagination Movers in concert at the Weinberg Center this past weekend. He loves watching them on the Disney channel and it was so fun to be able to do this with him. The week leading up to it though was quite a challenge to say the least. All of last week Camden had pink eye in both eyes, a double ear infection and a sinus infection. Then on Tuesday he started to randomly vomit with no explanation. He would be fine and then it would hit him again. It went this way ALL week, ugh! I was so tired of washing sheets and seeing him so miserable. I had no idea that random throwing up was a symptom of strep throat. So finally after being at the Dr. several times last week for the other issues we went on Friday night and his strep test came back positive. So it was another antibiotic for him. I was glad that he was markedly better however for the concert. But, I don't think he was 100% by any means. He wasn't as animated as we thought he would be to see them and he kept complaining that his ears were hurting.....which is not like him. But, we still had a great time.
New IM shirt and scribble stick.....a must have for every "movers" fan :)

And since we couldn't leave without the wobble goggles.....we had to make a little purchase on our way out after the concert.
We love you Cam. Thanks for letting Mommy and Daddy hang out with you :)

Spring Fun and catching up

So much to catch up on and this post is a bunch of everything from the past month or so. We are really ready for some consistently warm weather. So far it has just been here and there but we know that Spring weather will eventually happen :) Camden was showing off his muscles before he put on his Spiderman costume. And yes, I see that his diaper is just a little full.......but since my days are just so busy right now, I only pick one child each day to get a diaper change so he had to stay in this one since it wasn't his day :) Just kidding. He wouldn't let me change his diaper until he was ready to put on the costume, silly boy!

Kennedi at 2 months old.....9.6 pounds and 22 inches long! Happy baby :)

Not-so-happy baby :(

Camden has been asking for a Spiderman skateboard for awhile......so we made a trip to Toys R Us a few weeks ago and got him one. He has slept with it, taken it in the car and it is fun to see him use it!

First St. Patty's day with my 2 lucky charms! I loved dressing them in matching green and the weather couldn't have been nicer.

Such a ham for the camera!

Love those rare moments when he wants a kiss from his Mommy :)

Don't get up Mom, I got it!

So, I was very tired this morning and Camden woke up earlier than usual. I told him to come get in bed with me. I am not quite sure how long he laid in bed with me but I must have gone back to sleep. I woke up about a half hour later to him yelling from downstairs..... "Mommy, I need a sippy and turn on a show!" When I realized how long he was "on his own" I ran downstairs to find this : He had proudly gotten his own breakfast. A balanced diet of donuts and cheeze-its. Please take note of how he arranged his plate and yes, there are 8 donuts on that plate! He had gotten a little chair, climbed up on the counter, got a plate, got the donuts and crackers out of the pantry and prepared his plate as he so desired. He just needed me to get him water and turn on his morning show of Imagination Movers.......so glad to know what my role is :)
And yes, I let him eat every one of those donuts. He was so proud I couldn't take them away and plus it is Spring break :)

Welcome baby Kennedi!

Our sweet precious girl, Kennedi Paisley Clinton, was born on Friday February 4th at 8:25am. She weighed 6 pounds and was 19.75 inches long. She has been nothing but pure joy and and has the sweetest disposition. She is very peaceful, a snuggler and has brought us much happiness these past 2 weeks.

Big brother Camden is adjusting well and after getting over a bad cold he is now very eager to hold her, kiss her, hold her hands and wants to see where she is in the house all the time. I am so thankful that he is eager to show her love and kindness and he is very gentle around her.

God has been so good to us and His mercy is never ending. We are deeply thankful and humbled by God's grace to bless us with 2 wonderful children. I feel so overwhelmed by His goodness at times. There are so many children born that have difficulties or health issues. Why God has chosen to bless us with healthy and typical developing children is beyond me.

Our prayer is that God will lead, guide and direct us to parent these children as He desires and that He will make clear to us His ways.

Healthy and safe delivery for mom and Kennedi. We are doing great 2 weeks later and look forward to seeing her grow!

Catching up....again!

I can't seem to keep up as much as I want to on the blog. I am assuming that with number 2 arriving next week that it will only get harder. That is right.....next week we will be welcoming baby Kennedi to our family. I am scheduled to go in for a c-section on Friday the 4th of February. We are so excited for her to be here and thankfully this pregnancy has been fairly easy and has gone very quickly.

Our January has been full of fun things......my birthday, fun snow days, getting ready for Kennedi enjoying these last few weeks we have as a family of just 3. Here are some photos to catch you up on what we have been doing. Our precious Kennedi's room is all ready for her to arrive. Mostly everything is washed and we just have a few finishing touches left. We have ordered letters to spell out her name and will be hanging the letters above her crib once they arrive in the mail.
Camden wanted to paint this little wooden doorhanger for her so that everyone would know she is sleeping. He told me exactly what he wanted me to write on it.
I absolutely LOVE the pattern that we picked for her bedding. It is so pretty and it kind of makes me sad that it will only be her bedding for her crib, I wish she could use it as she grows. It really is beautiful!
We will be hanging a few large frames that match her furniture with pictures of her and Camden together. Obviously we can't do that part of the decorating considering that she is not here yet :)
Camden used that mobile when he was an infant and he loved it. He likes to turn it on and told me that he will lay next to her and watch it with her, so sweet!
And here he is with his big boy "packback." He had a Wiggles backpack that he used for school and he told me a few weeks ago that was for babies and that he needed a Buzz Lightyear one....so of course we could not deny him.
He also got his first pair of lightup shoes. I always said I would never do the character clothes or shoes and here we are wearing Buzz Lightyear. Once I saw how excited and happy he was to try them on I would never have been able to say no!
This was his gift from baby Kennedi. She got him a talking, pull string Woody doll as a big brother gift and was very excited.

He wanted to write his name on the bottom of Buzz and Woody just like Andy does in the movie.
I love how he is holding Woody's hand in this picture. Too cute :)

Jon and Camden at the Build and Grow at Lowes. They made a ball toss. So fun!

Very proud little boy who helped me make a snowman today with the first round of snow for the day. We are supposed to be getting about 8 more inches tonight......it is falling hard and heavy as I type!
Hopefully the next time I check in on here our baby girl will have arrived and I will be updating with those photos!
