Another Day in Paradise

Paradise......maybe. I guess it is all based on perception! I feel so blessed to have an amazing husband and an incredible baby boy who makes my life complete. We live a simple yet cherished life and enjoy spending time together as a family. As long as we are all together it really is.......just another day in paradise.

Sweet Treat....Trick or Treat!

Today Camden sported his Jack-O-Lantern shirt during the day for Halloween and he clearly was looking forward to this evening when he would be able to go trick-or-treating with Mommy and Daddy!

We could not miss out on the opportunity to dress him up this year even though he has no idea what we are doing, so he was a Cow! Jon and I decided to be cattle ranchers and Yee-Haw we got ourselves a calf!!!!! (Haha, no animals were harmed in the process of this trick-or-treating event!)

Jon lassoed our calf with his rope, it didn't seem to bother our calf too much!

We went around our cul-de-sac to see our neighbors and then came back and handed out candy. Camden's hands got a little cold and I don't have any mittens for him yet so I got some socks and put them on his hands to keep them warm. After I did that I realized that I could have added them to his costume as they kind of look like hooves! It was so much fun and Camden seemed to enjoy just being outside and being cozy warm in his costume!

Introducing the Father of the Bride Club

This past weekend we participated in our first bridal show as a vendor! My dad has started a business which began 2 years ago when Jon and I got married. My dad wanted a creative way to share his enthusiasm and joy and so he had a shirt made that said "Father of the Bride" and then on the sleeve put "Jon and Liz" and the date of our wedding. As our wedding weekend took place he got so many compliments and positive comments on the shirt that he thought maybe there would be a market for this!

In the end, he has created a very classy and distinctive shirt that brides can purchase as a gift for their dad or for dads to purchase as a way to honor and celebrate his daughter's wedding!

It has become somewhat of a family business and something that my dad would love for all of us to be a part of. Check out our website to see more of what the business offers and also if you know of anyone getting married it makes a great gift for the Father of the Bride!

Summers Farm Pumpkin Patch!

Today my parents came with us to pick out pumpkins at Summers Farm. We had a great time and wanted to start the tradtition with Camden even though he had no idea what we were doing!

You have to take a hayride to the patch to pick the pumpkins which was fun and Camden loved the bouncing as we sat in the back.

We wanted to do family pumpkins so we got a "Daddy" pumpkin, "Mommy" pumpkin and "Baby" pumpkin.

Hook em' Horns

In the Red River shoot out Texas pulled out a 45-35 Win over Oklahoma Sooners to launch them to the number #1 ranking in the country. Camden understands the pressure of them playing a tough matchup tonight against a good Missouri team. So he has brought out his game gear to root on his LONGHORNS!!!!

Happy Anniversary

Today Jon and I celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and wanted everyone to know how much I love him!

Honey,
Today I remember 2 years ago when I promised to cherish, love, honor and respect you for the rest of our days. You are my world and you make living life so much fun and enjoyable. I love you and thank God for His awesome plan and design and the He chose you as my soulmate! Happy Anniversary Honey!

To celebrate we have made it a tradition to go back each October to the place we were married. We went this past weekend to the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay and we decided to make it a family event this time! Jon, myself, Camden and Allie went. They have special dog rooms there and the resort is very pet friendly so it makes it great that we can take Allie with us. We left Friday night and returned yesterday morning. We had a great time. We spent our time doing many fun things:
Driving around the town, going to the outlets, hanging out outside, swimming in the indoor pool and so much more!

In the Streets

We had such a big day today and Camden was such a rockstar! He was a great baby considering all that we had to accomplish today. We had to help some friends this morning by cleaning their condo that they moved out of recently and of course Camden came with us. Today we also decided that we wanted to go to In the Streets which is a festival that happens every October in Downtown Frederick. The street is blocked off and it is filled with live music, entertainment, stuff for kids, food and craft vendors and businesses that are advertising in Frederick. It is so much fun and it made it even better that it was a beautiful day here. Camden was so great there as well, considering that he was running on not much of a nap and a crazy schedule. We were so proud of him and so thankful that we can take him places and experience things as a family! It makes for a fun place to meet up with friends and see people you know! We saw Megan who I use to dance with, our neighbors and some friends that were visiting from Tulsa! So fun and we look forward to it next year!
