Another Day in Paradise

Paradise......maybe. I guess it is all based on perception! I feel so blessed to have an amazing husband and an incredible baby boy who makes my life complete. We live a simple yet cherished life and enjoy spending time together as a family. As long as we are all together it really is.......just another day in paradise.

Snow day and Holiday Happenings!

We got our first big, huge, massive snow of the season yesterday! It of course was very exciting and we are still enjoying our "snow day" today! Camden really likes the idea of going out in the snow but HATES to be bundled up and not be able to use his hands or walk well in his boots. We still did it anyway and tried to get him as excited as possible about being out. We eventually dropped him off at my Mom and Dad's so that Jon and I could begin round 4 of shoveling out and digging out of the mounds of snow. Enjoy some of our pictures of our fun in the snow!

Jon going out for round one with the snow blower. This was around 9:30 am yesterday morning. He went out several more times yesterday and still this morning he had to do it all over again!
Our "kids" watching Daddy and the rest of the neighbors dig out.

Cam wanted a turn with the shovel and after about 3 minutes decided he wanted to go inside. UGGGGGHHHHH, it took me longer than that to get him dressed to go out!

The BIG pile in the cul-de-sac and it just got larger and larger as the day went on.

We live in such an awesome court with fantastic neighbors! Everybody was out helping each other long before we saw a plow. Our neighborhood does not have private contractors like SOOOO many other neighborhoods so we have to wait for the county plow and usually are the last to see them.

While Jon was outside most of the day Camden and I decided to make his first gingerbread house! He had so much fun and once he realized that he could eat the icing and candy he was done decorating and just wanted to eat all the yummy treats. He did help quite a bit at first though and thought it was a lot of fun.

Our back door out to the deck.......which we won't be using for quite sometime unless we get out there and shovel. The snow at the glass is taller than Allie!

In case we ever wanted to know what my car in white would look like........we now have a good idea!

There are chairs and a fire pit under there somewhere I think!

Venturing out for the first time today to try and take a walk!

It was up to my knees! Haha......Camden would never have made it out if I would have put him down!

Jon trying to sled down the hill........but he just sunk because it was so soft and powdery.

Haha......I was trying to climb over the snow to get to the street! Haha......not the most flattering picture!

We tried pulling Camden in the sled to take a walk but he wanted nothing to do with that so we instead he went for his blue car. You can hardly see him but he was very happy riding in his "convertible" in the snow!
We had such a great weekend with homemade soup, baking, yummy treats, and enjoying the beautiful blanket of white that will be here for a LONG time considering that are temps are not supposed to get out of the 30's all week. So perfect for Christmas!
