Another Day in Paradise

Paradise......maybe. I guess it is all based on perception! I feel so blessed to have an amazing husband and an incredible baby boy who makes my life complete. We live a simple yet cherished life and enjoy spending time together as a family. As long as we are all together it really is.......just another day in paradise.

Happy 4th

We have a tradition of going to Antietam National Battlefield the first weekend in July for their big fireworks show and concert. It just happened to actually fall on the 4th this year. We always have so much fun and this is the first year we were able to take Camden......he was too little last year.

Ready for dinner! Helping himself!

Logan and Camden.......future BEST BUDS!!!!

This picture makes me feel so proud and blessed to live in the great country.

Watching the first of the fireworks with mommy in his jammies. We were worried that he would hate them, he really doesn't like loud noises. We came prepared with earplugs and lollipops but we didn't need them. Haha......he has NEVER been so still....he loved them.

I really tried to soak in this moment. We were together as a family, watching fireworks and my son.....yes, Camden....was sitting still on my lap! Whooooo-hooooo! For those of you that know Camden you know he doesn't sit down and snuggle for anyone or anything! He has too much to explore.....so this was nice!

Summer Fun!

We have done so much already this summer. LOTS of pool time which has been great as well as going to the National Zoo, petting zoo, kids music concerts and so much more! Here is a hodge-podge of pictures from the fun we have been having!

Silly boy....he loves playing with my wallet.

He also loves taking the washcloth that I use to wipe his hands and mouth off of the stove and carrying it all around.....and smacking the dog with it!

Petting Zoo! He loved seeing all the animals and getting to feed them corn.

Over Father's Day weekend, Jon and Camden took a trip to see the family in Texas. I stayed home as it was just a boy's weekend. Jon's family was in from Denver too, so it was nice for them to be able to see Camden and catch up with everyone.

Saying "Cheese" with Aunt Krista.

And again with his cousin James!

And now the whole bunch! Aren't they the cutest set of cousins?!?!?! James, Kaylee and Camden and Jagger! So cute!

We have had some great playdates with friends.....this is Claire and Camden.....they have a very "special" relationship. Most of it includes, Camden trying to give kisses and Claire pulling his hair!!!! Haha!Giving Claire some lovin'!
He got these golf clubs for his birthday and they have been a favorite from the start! He carries them all over the house and loves to play with them in the front yard in the evenings.

Such a fun summer so far.......we have much more fun to come and we are loving it!

Better late than never

Okay, so I am way behind in posting. These next few posts will be of the things that have been going on with us during this summer starting with the farthest back which would be Camden's 1st birthday party. I posted about his actual birthday but never got around to posting about the party!

It was so much fun and turned out just as we had planned. The weather couldn't have been better and we were surrounded with so many friends and family that truly love us and our son Camden, we are so blessed! So.....here is a snapshot of the day and the fun we had!

The cowboy hat cake that Betty made for everyone! Thanks Betty, it was sooooo yummy!

Birthday Boy and the cook!

I just wanted to enjoy this day with him and be in the moment! And I did!

Before the party........we are so fortunate to have a great backyard for things like this!

This was the other cake that Betty made just for Camden, gluten-free! So cute!

Yummy! We literally had to hose him down when he was done, and the highchair got a bath outside as well! We let him play in his water table too, just to make sure all the sticky was gone! What a bath night that was.

What a wonderful Daddy and Husband! We spent most of the time at the grill making everyone, hot dogs, mini-cheeseburgers and sausage! What a guy!
So much fun and we are so proud of our 1 year old boy who has turned our world around and made our lives so full of joy! He is such a gift and we thank God daily for allowing us to parent him and go on the journey as a family! Happy Birthday Camden........you are our precious gift!
