One Year!

It is so hard to believe that Camden turned one yesterday! At exactly 10:37pm he was born after a long 24 hours of labor and eventual C-section. I would do it all over again in a second if that is what had to happen. He has been such a joy to us and others and we are so thankful for him and his love for life. There is so much about Camden that we love. There is evidence that he is our child, however.......he is very much his own person and more and more we see him developing into the little person that God designed for him to be!

The day was all about him and we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner. He had a corn cheese quesadilla (sp?????) that he gobbled up and they even came out and sang Happy Birthday to him with the sombrero, ice cream and a candle!

His birthday party isn't until Sunday.....and we know that he will have a blast!

I have tried so hard this past year to soak in every moment, good and challenging and yet somehow I am left wondering what happened and how we got to this point. The point where the carseat is for a big boy and it faces front, the food is toddler friendly, bottles are out and sippies are in, walking instead of riding in the stroller and giving quick hugs instead of long snuggles and embraces.

My baby is big and I look forward to each and every day, month and year to come! I love you Camden Porter Clinton and Mommy and Daddy are so thankful for you. Take it easy on us....let us catch our breath every once in awhile during "chase around the house" and keep giving us your big kisses and precious hugs. You are our world and without you......there would be a big whole in our hearts.
