Another Day in Paradise

Paradise......maybe. I guess it is all based on perception! I feel so blessed to have an amazing husband and an incredible baby boy who makes my life complete. We live a simple yet cherished life and enjoy spending time together as a family. As long as we are all together it really is.......just another day in paradise.

Family Vacation at Chesapeake

We just returned from a vacation at the Hyatt at Chesapeake where Jon and I got married. We go back every year and we absolutely LOVE it there. It is so relaxing and even though it wasn't the warmest of weeks we still had so much fun.

Enjoying a snack at the indoor pool.
This was Camden;s favorite part of the day....he LOVED the hot tub. He would reach and cry for it when we would pass by it and loved being in it with the bubbles going on.

Taking a stroll around the pool with Daddy while we were waiting on lunch.

These next few pictures are the views from our room. Gorgeous! So nice to wake up to these "pictures" every morning.

The hotel has a firepit going every night where the guests can roast marshmallows for s'mores. They sell s'mores packets with everything needed inside. So fun! Camden loved the chocolate and marshmallows and stayed up way past his bedtime that night.

He also liked moving all the pieces around on the giant chess board in front of the firepit.

Each night they show a movie at the indoor pool. That night was the movie Surfs Up and we let Camden watch it for a little while after we had our s'mores!

Ready for his lunch! Haha....he drug his lunchbag around the pool for awhile!

Okay, these next few are a series of his "muscle man" faces. He makes these faces and flexes his muscles when we say, "Cam, do your muscle man." He gets very tense and makes fists and holds up his arms. Haha....this is the face that results from all that flexing!

We drove into Ocean City so that Camden could enjoy the beach with waves for the first time. It was a little chilly and windy so Jon built him a bunker to block the wind and he loved playing in the sand and didn't seem to notice the wind at all. He had a great time and we loved watching him experience that for the first time!

In his bunker!

We of course took a stroll on the boardwalk and enjoyed some Thrashers fries and had so much fun watching Camden strut his stuff!

Camden loves music and wanted to stop at every person playing on the boardwalk. He was extra interested in this one-man band guy and stayed and danced a long time.

We went to one of the amusement parks at the end of the boardwalk and as soon as we walked in of course Cam started reaching for all of the rides and we couldn't resist. We bought a few tickets and he rode the carousel for the first time! I was such a proud Momma. After the carousel, we tried 2 more rides and he rode them by himself! I think I had a tear, what a big boy! I couldn't believe it! This motorcycle ride he wasn't so fond of and I think it went a little too fast for him. But he hung in there and rode it like a Rockstar!

The firetruck one was a little bit more his pace!

We had such a great time being together as a family and really tried to enjoy every moment with Camden. He is at such a fun age and being able to spend this time as a family was priceless. Our life has been made so much better and more sweet by having our precious boy in our lives. Being able to return to the place that Jon and I were married and recall how much we dreamed of someday going back there with our baby is so special to us. Jon and I stand on the lawn where we committed our lives to each other forever and thank God for his blessing upon our marriage. As we stand there we are doubly thankful for His mercy in allowing us to become parents to our Camden. What a great way to spend our vacation.........loving each other more and being surrounded by God's beauty.

He's such a cutie-pie! I mean Camden, not Jon! It was a beautiful location, and we enjoyed sharing that special day with you just a few short years ago. It certainly has flown by!
